GOVT. REGD. NO. 90197/068/069 | TOURISM REGD. NO. 1585Tibet, often referred to as the "Roof of the World," is a breathtaking wilderness heritage destination. Whether you seek a religious pilgrimage or wish to explore this forbidden region of the Republic of China, a Tibet tour is truly mystical and mythical.
Our Tibet tours are among the most popular cultural and religious journeys in China, with Lhasa serving as the starting or ending point for most itineraries, including those to Mount Kailash. The main highlights of our Tibet tour packages include cultural excursions to the Potala Palace in Lhasa and spiritual visits to Mount Kailash. We provide detailed information on Tibet tours and Kailash tour packages, along with assistance for obtaining your Tibet travel visa.
Many travelers are drawn to Tibet for its architectural landmarks and sacred mountains. Additionally, witnessing the iconic Everest Base Camp via land is an unparalleled experience. The major highlights of this autonomous region include various palaces, monasteries, temples, lakes, and mountains.
The Kailash Mansarovar Tour is a particularly significant journey for Hindu followers from Nepal and India. This sacred destination is considered the abode of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Mansarovar Lake is believed to be home to Sesh Naag, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, while Mount Kailash is revered as the dwelling place of Shiva and Parvati.
The palace of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, is also located near Mount Kailash. Moreover, the journey through Lhasa, Shigatse, Rongbuk Monastery, and Everest Base Camp is equally mesmerizing.
Trekking to Everest Base Camp from the Nepal side is physically demanding but rewarding. If you wish to leave your footprints at the base camp of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest (8,848 m), this is the easiest route.
The Potala Palace is another iconic structure of Tibet, situated in the heart of Lhasa. It offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains and was once the administrative center during the Dalai Lamas regime.
The majority of Tibets population practices Buddhism. Following the exile of the Dalai Lama, the region has been governed by mainland China. It is fascinating for foreign visitors to observe the development of infrastructure in such challenging geographical conditions.
During your exploration of various cities in Tibet, you will encounter mani stones, chortens, and the fragrant scent of incense. Prayer flags and clustered houses characterize Tibetan culture, with the primary language spoken being Tibetan, while some residents speak Chinese.
Embark on a Tibet tour to experience its myths and explore its mystical attractions. Nepal Trekking Tourism & Adventure Pvt. Ltd. boasts a skilled team of professionals based in both Nepal and Tibet, ensuring impeccable hospitality.
If you plan to travel to Tibet from mainland China, you will need to apply for a Chinese visa at home before your flight. Ensure that your visa is valid for both your China tour and Tibet tour. When applying for a Chinese visa at the embassy in your home country, mention that you are traveling only in China, as stating you are traveling to Tibet may result in visa denial. Once you have your Chinese visa, send us a clear copy along with your passport, and we will apply for the necessary Tibet travel permit for your tour or trek. After we obtain the TTB permit (issued by the Tibet Travel Bureau in Lhasa), you will be eligible to enter Lhasa and continue your journey through Tibet, including overland tours to Everest Base Camp or Lhasa Kailash tours.
Please note that you should not attempt to apply for your TTB permit yourself, as it cannot be granted without the assistance of a licensed travel agent like us. The arrangement of your Tibet travel permit and tour is only possible through a reliable agency.
If you wish to join Tibet tours from Nepal, the process for obtaining the Tibet travel permit (TTB permit) is different. It is recommended to obtain your Chinese visa from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu with the assistance of a local travel agent (we have organized Tibet tours for over 20 years). If you already possess a Chinese visa from your home country, it will be canceled by the embassy in Kathmandu, and you will be issued a group visa. Once you confirm your Tibet tour package with us, we will handle your Chinese visa and Tibet permits. You only need to book a tour package, and we will take care of the rest. This has been our commitment for the past 20 years. We also assist with your Chinese tourist visa if you wish to enter mainland China from Lhasa after your Tibet Kailash tour or overland tour.
