Trip Introduction
Budget Gokyo Chola Pass Everest base camp trek is a little longer route than a regular budget Everest basecamp trek which combines an alternative beautiful trekking route of the Everest region-Gokyo Valley. It also combines adventure trekking over the Chola pass( 5420m) to hike the trail of Everest base camp and Kalapathhar. This is a highly recommended trekking trail in the Khumbu everest region of Nepal.
This 16-day trekking itinerary is well-prepared to avoid unnecessary altitude sickness during the trek including the Chola pass which is one of the 3 passes in the Khumbu region. this trek is the best opportunity to explore two popular trekking trails ( Gokyo Valley & Everest base camp) of the Khumbu Everest region in one trip.
Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01:Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and Trek to Phakding/Monjo( 2800m)- Lodge
Day 02:6-7 hours trek to Namche( 3440m)- Lodge
Day 03:3-4 hours trek to Khumjung village and return to Namche- Lodge
Day 04:4-5 hours trek to Dole( 4200m)- Lodge
Day 05: 4-5 hours trek to Macchermo( 4470m)- Lodge
Day 06:5 hours trek to Gokyo Lake( 4750m)- Lodge
Day 07:5 hrs hiking to Gokyo Ri and back to Gokyo- Lodge
Day 08:3 hours trek to Thaknak( 4700m)- Lodge
Day 09:7-8 hours trek to Cho la pass and trek to Dzong la( 4300m)- lodge
Day 10:3-4 hours trek to Lobuche( 4930m)- Lodge
Day 11:7-8 hours trek to Everest base camp and back to Gorakshep( 5170m)- Lodge
Day 12: 5-6 hours trek to Dingboche( 4410m)- Lodge
Day 13:4 hours trek to Tengboche(3860m)- Lodge
Day 14: 7 hours trek to Monjo- Lodge
